THE FINISHING COMB'S STAINLESS STEEL TINES Remove most tangles without snags
STEP 1 Hold the hair below the mat in one hand and the tool in the other. Using the dematting side of the tool, place the wider-spaced blades near the ends of the matted hair and use a picking motion, following the direction of hair growth. For difficult mats or tangles, use short, controlled strokes instead of long, sweeping motions. Begin at the edges of the mat where the hair is less dense and work toward the more compact areas.
STEP 2 As the mat reduces in size, graduate to the side of the tool with the closer-spaced blades until the mat is fully removed. STEP 3 To clean the dematting blade, twist the cover over the exposed blades and remove any trapped hair. When not in use, close the cover to protect the blades from damage. STEP 4 Use the finishing comb to remove excess hair, break up small tangles and smooth and finish fur.
1. Using the comb side of the tool, make short, smooth strokes in the direction of hair growth. 2. Start at the head and work your way down to the tail. 3. Begin with the wider-spaced tines, switching to the closer-spaced tines as tangles become smaller. 4. Pay special attention to areas prone to matting, such as behind the ears and under the legs. 5. Regular use for a few minutes each session will help remove excess hair, break up tangles and keep your pet looking their best.

Product Description

Need help avoiding the dreaded "shave down" at the groomer? Keep your doodle looking dandy and easily remove mats and tangles with the FURminator® 2-in-1 Doodle Grooming Tool! This dematting tool with a built-in finishing comb is designed for dogs susceptible to matting with curly, long, silky and wiry coats. Curved cutting edges on the dematting side ensure safe and efficient removal of mats. Plus, the removable cover allows you to safely store and protect the tool. On the finishing comb side, stainless steel tines remove most tangles without snags. Variable blade width on both sides allows pet parents to easily tackle stubborn areas with one tool. When dealing with tighter mats, start with the tighter-width teeth to loosen and break up mats. Then, use the wider teeth side to further smooth out the hair. And, for maximum control and ease of use, the tool has a non-slip handle that feels secure and comfortable in your hand.

Please read all instructions carefully before beginning grooming. Use the FURminator® 2-in-1 Doodle Grooming Tool only as directed. Matted fur can cause severe discomfort for pets and becomes increasingly difficult to remove if left unchecked. Before using the tool, perform a thorough physical inspection of your pet. Check for sores, bruises or skin conditions that may be hidden beneath the coat. If any are found, consult a veterinarian before proceeding with grooming.

For best results, use all three products in our Doodle Grooming System to maintain your pup's coat between professional grooming appointments: the Doodle Grooming Tool for dematting and combing, the Detangling Leave-in Conditioner Spray for loosening mats and the 2-in-1 Doodle Ultra Premium Shampoo & Conditioner for cleansing and moisturizing. Our doodle-specialized grooming solutions help your furry friend avoid the dreaded "shave down" and maintain a salon-quality coat at home. Your pup (and your groomer) will thank you!

Our ultimate grooming essentials system is tailor-made for various poodle mixed-breed coat types and textures, including labradoodles, goldendoodles, cavapoos, maltipoos, schnoodles, poodles, cockapoos, bernedoodles and shih-poos. It's also great for non-shedding breeds prone to matting, such as malteses, bichons, shih tzus and yorkshire terriers.
