Authentic Furminator

Dog & Cat Nail Clippers is rated 1.7 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Flimsy and doesn't cut nails I've been trimming my own dogs' nails for over 10 years and replace my trimmers quite often. The brand I typically got was out of stock and I opted to get the Furminator brand. What a HUGE disappointment for a big branded name like Furminator. The clippers sound (yes they rattle) and feel very cheap and flimsy. I could barely trim my dogs' nails as the blade would slide, yes slide, no matter the angle of the clippers, which I've never had happen in my life... Would not recommend and wouldn't even sell it to somebody else.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nail CRUSHERS not "clippers" These nail clippers crushed and splintered my cat's' claws. I hope my cat isn't in pain; he isn't limping and I haven't seen any blood. I hope he doesn't have to go to the vet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It's like you want our dogs to be hurt I have a chihuahua. He finally started letting the vets clip his nails so I bought a pair to do it myself. They couldn't cut through my 10 pound dogs nails. It took the nail and practically twisted it right out of the skin without ever cutting all the way through. Going right in the trash. I've learned my lesson. Ill buy a better brand for future pet supplies. Shame on you!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality The locking mechanism broke after two uses so that when I clip a nail, the device locks closed. Leaves nails on my smaller dog (25lbs) frayed. I can't use it on my larger dog (55lbs) because the clippers aren't strong/sharp enough to cut through his nails. These might be good for tiny pets, but not for medium to large animals.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Furminator Dog Nail Clippers I had the same issue as some of the other reviewers, the lock keeps locking after each cut, contacted Customer Service and was promptly sent a new pair along with some excellent Dingo Treats for our trouble. The new pair seems to be an improved version, but then again they are not a $50.00 pair of clippers. Excellent Customer Service!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not easy to use I've had these clippers for awhile now. I yrim my digs nails frequently and find the little black lever that locks the blades to be a total pain. Every clip I make the lever slides under and locks the blades. Then I have to stop and slide it back, all while holding down a 50 lb hound. Also the blades seem dull as I have to use more strength to get them to cut. At first I thought maybe this problem was just me not being used to them, but it hasn't gotten much better over time. I'm disappointed as I've really like their brushes. I had hoped the clippers would be as easy to use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for medium to large dogs Bought these to clip the nails on my cat, Jack Russel Terrier, and Malemute. Cat was fine, Jack Russel was fine. When I got to the Malemute, 3rd nail in the mechanism snapped where the plastic hooks to the metal trimming blade, rendering the clippers useless. I will be attempting to return these to Petsmart where I bought them and try to find a sturdier product. Other I have used other fulminator products in the past and was fully satisfied, this was the first product that did not hold up to standards.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok, but not great I used them to trim my cat's nails. They worked ok enough, but felt very awkward. I was surprised at the vagueness of the directions on the packaging and the website. There's a QR code on the packaging to scan, but it didn't work, even after scanning it with multiple apps.
